Where did June go?

My Summer is Flying!!

June was an awesome month of fun and a vacation in Texas.

It started the last weekend in May with my cousin Heather's Bachelorette Weekend.

Heather's last fling was held in Austin, TX at my Aunt Carla's house. We had an absolute blast playing games, taking a boat tour, and celebrating Heather's up coming wedding.

After that my West Texas family and I drove home to Midland and there I stayed 2 weeks leading up to the wedding.

I had a great two weeks spending quality time with my family and catching up with old friends

Me eating watermelon with my Grandad! He's the greatest!

Enjoying some Texas Takeout with my cousin, Beth!

I got to take my 94 yo Great-Grandmother out to lunch a couple of times.

Here's Heather fixing Grandad and I dinner in her and Isaac's new house! The perfect home for newlyweds!

Me with a childhood friend, Dava!

(I'm starting to notice a trend of moments surrounded by food...)

My cousin Callie with her awesome daughter, Robin. After working with her, we were able to get her to call me Sha! It's the sweetest ever!

Here I am stealing a kiss!

I mean, really, she's the absolute cutest!!

Here I am with my Aunt Janee'. I love her very much!

Pool time with my crazy cousins! I love these girls a lot, too! So neat to be related to your best friends!

This was the first moment that Robin let me pick her up and hold her.

I also got the chance to meet up with my good high school buddy, Vic, and his girlfriend, Sami!

I was with Heather and Isaac when they got their marriage license. :)

Here I am with more childhood friends, Mellessa and Jennifer! You can also see Jennifer's son Carson and Mel's dog, Pixie. Such a fun dinner party!

Here is Beth with Nana and Grandad. :)

Soon it was time to decorate the museum auditorium for Heather and Isaac's reception.

Aunt Sandy and Uncle Mark were so excited to be celebrating their daughters marriage!

Here is Heather with her mother-in-law Mary at the dress rehearsal dinner. :)

Aunt Sandy gave a great toast!

Ruben drove to Texas from Chicago to be there for the wedding. We had fun meeting up with my cousins and wedding party at a local bar in Midland.

The next day, June 11th was the big day!

Here is Heather looking beautiful with her wedding party behind her!

It was an awesome wedding! It looked beautiful and it was so much fun!!

It was a great event, and I was so glad that my husband and I were there and were able to contribute to making it a great success! I love Heather and Isaac very much!

The next day, Ruben and I had to leave for Oklahoma. Here I am with my Grandad and my puppies before we hit the road.

The dogs are great on road trips! Here's Nikon looking cute as ever!

Canon is cute too!

Once I got home, I had to jump into the middle of our softball season. I had missed a few games while gone, but was glad to be playing with the Moles this summer!

This pic was taken at our last game.

I hit the ball and ran!!

Here's a great team picture! GO MOLES!

On June 29 my friend Maureen turned 50! I was lucky enough to be a part of a surprise birthday party planned for her! Here she is, so excited, as the soprano sings her an Opera Gram birthday song! It was awesome!!

We all toasted to her health, ate some cake, then went back to downtown to work.

Happy Birthday, Maureen!

They next day, June 30th, I helped host a wedding shower for friend and co-worker, Amy Bishop and her finacee' Jeff. They will be getting married July 9.

Here's to Amy and Jeff many blessings to you both in the future!!

The last week of the month also brought a visit from our good friend Alejos. He visiting us from June 25- July 3. Alejos is a great guest, and we love his yearly visits!

Ruben and I continue to enjoy our time together this summer as we know that it will be coming to an end sooner than we would like. :)
